Hi.
Please ignore all grammatical blunders in this diary entry.
I wrote it in a hurry.

CATCH UP
There is not much to catch up on.
I finished 2 books this week, which is great considering how long it took to complete my book for January. It might have been easier because both books are novels, written by an excellent author: Francine Rivers.
Remember the article I submitted for publication? You can read it here. I share some of my thoughts on the upcoming general elections in Nigeria.
So much is happening concurrently it is appearing a bit difficult to keep up, but I trust God.
I trust God because everything I am doing now is by virtue of divine leading and instruction, therefore the strength to trudge on must come from the source.
WORK UPDATE
One word describes this week, and it is “hectic”, and things only began to ease up on Thursday.
Surviving this week is enough proof to me that I can survive anything.
At least I did not hop on any work calls this weekend- cannot say the same for my siblings in consulting (accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your weekends and personal time).
Before I wrap up the work update, I have pretty big work goals for February 2023 and I make it a point of duty to always give myself permission to dream big. Even when there are Ls, I take them as learning curves towards attaining the big picture.
I still have 3 full weeks to go.
A lot can happen in 21 days, and I pray I do not drop the ball.
WORK LESSON:
“On Getting the Job Done”
Considering the week, I have had you will think that there is no lesson.
This week’s lesson is on the power of just plain old getting it done.
My manager gave me a task and a timeline.
It appeared that my manager had a correction to make to my input on the task every time we met before our official task review. I was tired and exhausted, and it was reflecting to my team members.
I almost gave up on making any efforts so that I could just hear all the negative feedback at the official task review, but I did not.
I kept on and kept rallying people on as well.
At the task review, I heard ONLY good things.
Imagine if I had given up.
Look for the lesson and pick it up.
You are intelligent and I want this to be a short read🤗
EXCERPTS FROM THE WEEK
Nigerian recruiters have bad habits. I blame the high unemployment rate in the nation.
Loved this piece by Dayo.
I enjoyed this podcast.
