This “diary entry” is going to be about the place of God in my journey.
I am a Christian and I trust in the ability and power of God to direct my affairs.
When I got my first internship, from a cold email, nothing qualified me for it. The odds of getting an internship at such a great organization were slim, talk less of getting a response to my mail from its CEO. But I did, I got a response, I was granted an interview, and I was given an opportunity to intern and experience a great work culture forming a solid foundation for my work expectations.
I could say the same for my second internship.
I got an internship I was not looking for, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed.
I could go on and on about how the hand of God has been evident in every role I have occupied.
Even when I fail to see it in the beginning, in hindsight it becomes very evident (Naomi Raine sang; “…down through the years, I’ll look on this moment and see Your hand on it and know You are here.”) Naomi’s lyrics have become my testimony.
There’s no punchline here.
This newsletter is just to make it clear to you that while I am the one undergoing these experiences, it is God that makes ways and opens doors of opportunities for me.
This is something I do not take for granted.
In these roles, I always make it a point of duty to also carry God along- especially when things become difficult to navigate. I pray about them and work towards making change (I will talk about this in upcoming episodes).
This episode is rather short ( I have 3 more essays/articles to write and deliver this week- help me! lol)
Next episode will be on feedback; how to ask for it, how to handle it, what to do about it etc- of course, with a personal example of when I got negative and positive feedback from work.
Did I die? Did I resign? Did I ask for a raise? You’ll find out next week
I mean clearly I didn’t die but still, anticipate.🤷♀️
It’s the “did I die for me”😂😂😂
Love this for you. Love how you spelt it out.
Thank you for sharing.
God is in my neighbour's house 🌚😁
